Subject: Retirement and Job Opening
After over 40 years as a professional librarian( where did the time go?), I find it is time to have some different adventures. I will be retiring at the end of this school year. I have been a children's librarian, Coordinator of ILL for the State of Rhode Island, a college librarian, reference librarian at a large city library and for the last 28 years a Library Media Specialist at Ellsworth High School. I have loved my profession and find the thought of leaving it the hardest part of retiring.
I am writing to say farewell to the Library Community and to let you all know that my job is open. Ellsworth High School is a great place to work, the library is appreciated and supported by staff and administration.

Subject: Great American Story Teller
I received the following inquiry this morning and the info is pretty thin, but I thought maybe someone on MELibs would have a clue.
"Do you know anything about a program called something like "The Great American Story Teller"? We're trying to find out about this guy who is going all around the country with his program of story-telling visits to different organizations? Don't know anything more and can't find anything online about this. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for any tidbits you might have about this.."
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.

Hi all,
Just wanted to follow up and wholeheartedly agree with Janet - Kay was a great speaker and we really enjoyed her program. It was a great mix of history and background of the country and culture and discussion of recent changes for women in Saudi Arabia. Her email is [log in to unmask], and she's very enthusiastic about doing library programs!

Based on my suggestion, Steve has added options for state and city sorting.
A new site and may not have what you want yet, but worth following.
Or can someone do a similar site for Maine?
