Hi all - my yahoo search using "stockyard" and "boston" yielded the following
(www.boston.citysearch.com/e/v/bosma/84/04):
The Stockyard restaurant opens at 4pm on Saturdays and is located at the
corner of Market Street and North Beacon Street in Brighton. Any of you
who used to live in Brighton will remember that this isn't too far from the
old Sammy White's Brighton Bowl. Interesting bit of history, the place is
located on the site where America's first stockyard once stood.
Here are the comments from the on-line Zagat restaurant review:
>"Attentive", "cordial" service "without frills" is the hallmark of this
>"reasonably priced" Brighton beefery plating "huge portions" of "plain American
>food" like steaks, chops, mashed potatoes and other "hearty"
>"low-key" staples; a few pickier palates, however, claim it's "going downhill"
>while prices are rolling upward;
