Full connectivity between Portland and Cambridge has been restored as of
about 9am this morning.

Power outage in Portsmouth, NH started at 4:43pm yesterday, August31.
We lost all services through Portsmouth at approx. 6:00pm due to failure
of the site's generator. Parts of the optical node did not come back up
when power was restored.

With the assistance of UNH staff, a temporary work around was in place as
of approximately 4am this morning. Service was brought back down at 8am to
install replacement modules and reconfigure the optical node back to its
normal configuration.

For most of this 15 hour time period Internet 2 connectivity and The
Jackson Lab's 10G service between Bar Harbor and Farmington, CT was down.
Internet connectivity was maintained through our redundant connection out
of Orono.
