Tim Bray doesn't like Homeric heroes, and he doesn't have to.

It is the mythological stuff that counts.

And Dante was a twit-at least in terms of today's namby-pamby liberalism
with all its ridiculous weak-kneed concerns about not stuffing people into
the pits of hell, having good teeth, and so forth- yet undeniably a Poundian
precursor.

So there! We seem to agree.
