Do you have any outstanding alumni who you think should be honored on the
national level? Were you at COE’s Annual Conference in 2014 to hear the
inspiring National TRIO Achiever award presentations? We recognized a great
group of Achievers at the 2014 Educational Opportunity Dinner in
Washington, DC and look forward to honoring an equally outstanding group
during COE’s 34th Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA this September!

*Criteria for Nomination:*
· The TRIO Achiever candidate must be a former TRIO project participant who
was enrolled in and successfully completed a TRIO program.
· The candidate must have enrolled in and successfully completed a
postsecondary program of study resulting in a baccalaureate or terminal
degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Preference is
given to nominees who have been out of school for five or more years.
· The candidate must be a person of high stature within his/her profession
or have received recognition for outstanding achievement.
· The TRIO Achiever candidate must currently be employed above the entry
level designation for his/her profession.
· The candidate must have made significant civic, community, or
professional contributions.
· Participation in the TRIO project must have had significant impact upon
the candidate in obtaining his/her educational and/or professional
objectives (as acknowledged by the participant).

· TRIO Achievers Nomination Form—attached or register online

· Photo of Nominee
· Testimonial letter from nominator—why you think your nominee should be
selected
· One professional letter of reference—from someone familiar with the
nominee’s work
· Personal Statement from nominee—describing the impact their participation
in a TRIO program had on their life.
· Nominee’s Resume or CV

Nominators are strongly encouraged to submit all nomination materials

*The deadline for 2015 Achiever nominations is June 19*. Please contact

Nominees who have been selected will be notified by the end of July, 2015.
