Mr. Steen,
 
I thought the chapter on Pound's relationship with a British economist C. H.
Douglas in Hugh Kenner's "The Pound Era" was informative and would be a good
starting point.  It would at least introduce you to the economist whose
theories Pound had found most appealing.
 
Right now, I'm reading "Pound's Cantos" by Peter Makin, He's got some
smidgens of Douglas' and Pound's economic thinking, here and there; but, I
remember that Kenner had a whole chapter devoted to the topic.
