The Idaho Steelheads announced Friday (January 5) that right-wing Cal
Ingraham, defenseman Jeremy Mylymok (Mill-A-muck) and center Dan Shermerhorn
have been chosen as 2000-01 West Coast Hockey League All-Stars and will
participate in the WCHL/CHL All-Star game at the San Diego Sports Arena in
San Diego on January 24.
Ingraham has 43 points (19g-24a) in 29 games this season, which ranks him
fifth in the league in scoring. This is Ingraham’s second selection to the
WCHL All-Star team in three seasons. He was selected during the 1998-99
season for the inaugural All-Star game that was hosted by Idaho and played at
the Bank of America Centre in Boise. Ingraham scored a goal to help the WCHL
All-Star Team to a 6-4 victory over the Canadian National Team in front of
5,079 fans.
Mylymok has 28 points (5g-23a) in 31 games. He has surpassed his career high
for points (16) already this season. Mylymok will be making his first
appearance as a WCHL All-Star as this is his first season in the league. He
has spent most of his playing time in the East Coast Hockey League and the
International Hockey League.
Shermerhorn has 46 points (23g-23a) in 31 games this season, which ranks him
second in the league in scoring and goals. He is making his first appearance
on a WCHL All-Star team despite having been named the WCHL MVP in 1997-98
where he scored 114 points (45g-69a) in 54 regular season games and 18 points
(11g-7a) in 11 playoff games for the Tacoma Sabercats.
ALSO: In Idaho's 7-4 victory over the San Diego Gulls on Saturday, Jan. 13,
the three stars of the game were, in order, Cal Ingraham, Dan Shermerhorn,
and Shawn Wansborough.
