Good morning the Maine Irish Heritage Center here in Portland will be presenting "Ulysses for Beginners" this Friday June 16th at 7pm in honor of Bloomsday the event is free for everyone below is more information.  Susan Flaherty, Maine Irish Heritage Center
Bloomsday returns! In a Portland tradition that dates back to 2004, AIRE Theater proudly presents Ulysses for Beginners. This rollicking performance piece, written by AIRE Artistic Director Tony Reilly, uses scenes, songs, and lots of humor to explain the story line of Ulysses in one hour.
Tony Reilly returns as the guide to the intricacies of what some consider the greatest book ever written — with a touch a wit and a bit of irreverence.
Join an all-star cast on Friday, June 16, at 7 p.m. at the Maine Irish Heritage Center on the corner of State and Gray Streets in Portland.
Festive and period attire encouraged. Cash bar.
