Hello, I am the librarian for the Maine Irish Heritage Center here in Portland. I recently posted to the list about needing to re-house an ALA exhibit on Lincoln and the Constitution. Everyone was so amazingly helpful and I am happy to report the exhibit had been moved to the Maine Historical Society Library. Now I have another problem, I have received an amazing donation of books from the Boston College Irish collection by way of an alumni of St Dominic's school. The problem is, some of the books are badly in need of repair. I don't have the skill set or the time to tackle them. This would be a strictly volunteer opportunity. Our last book binder was someone who had taken some classes and wanted a chance to practice his skills. The hours are flexible, whatever hours you can offer, we would provide the materials. If you would like to learn more about this, ask questions etc. Please contact me off list. ([log in to unmask]). Thanks as always. Susan Flaherty
