It is unfortunate that magazines are on the "no" list. Magazines are
valuable resources for two main reasons: 1) contributions published convey
the latest information on specific fields; and 2) the information may not
be available in book format, or on the Internet.
Local newspapers in the library may be the only way local people can
access sales, jobs, and pertinent local government information.
Any online access to these items needs more advertising aimed at library
patrons.
Hopefully at some point, checking out magazines and newspapers might fall
under the same procedures for books, with an isolation time before becoming
available for another patron.
