On HEAL this week...
Of the top 15, UNH and Maine swept, while NoDak, Wisconsin, Colgate,
STLaw, and LSSU split. Results: UNH takes good hold of the top spot,
Maine rebounds from #12 to #3, while everyone bobs like the veggies in
your minestrone soup.
Biggest positive jumps of the week: BC 10 places; Maine 9 places.
Biggest dives of the week (Brendan Walsh took the week off):
Iona 6; Niagara 5; Quinnipiac 5.
HEAL and it's kissing cousin RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) are
relatively close this week, as is usual and expected. Some of the
variations between these two rankings are easily explained. For
example, HEAL has OSU at #51, whereas RPI has OSU at #44 (OSU probably
wants neither ranking, but they are 3-12-1!). The difference might be
explained by RPI looking favorably at OSU's loses to tough teams Maine
as well as upper middle of the pack Michigans (MSU, UM, NMU and WMU),
while they are just loses to HEAL, where strength of schedule just shows
up in your wins.
