Good Morning,
Well we're all looking for a little good news these days and while
this does not impact the guys getting ready to show there one of the
best team in the country it does make us feel good about the future.
Maine has received a commitment from one of the most highly regarded
New England recruits for 2004. According to USHR Bret Tyler, a
defenseman who plays for the Boston Jr. Bulldogs of the EJHL has
selected Maine over UNH , UMass and No. Dak. He is listed a 5'9" and
this season was named the defensemen of the year in the EJHL and a
first team all star. His numbers for this year 27-57-84 with 163
pims. He is described as physical presence and a fan favorite.
Maine also has a commitment from Tim Maxwell a 6'1" defenseman in the
Alberta Junior Hockey League with Sherwood Park. According to Chris
Heisenberg's site he also will be coming to Maine in 2004.
Looking forward to seeing where Maine gets sent on Sunday when the
selection show is broadcast, and hopefully the team will look like
the guys who blew out BU at the beginning of the season and not the
team we saw at the end of the season.
