Hi ...

Can anyone on this list tell me what QUIA PAUPER AMAVI means in English? =
A trivial thing, but for some reason I haven't been able to find it =
anywhere.

I don't know the context of your passage, but the words mean "because I
loved the meager", meager being a substantive adjective. Does this
make sense to you? Where does the quotation appear?

Peace,
Jon

See also: "Quia Multum Amavi" by Oscar Wilde which predates EP's QPA by
many years and could be the inspiration for the title...

Fun Fact: Please note the "House of Pain" reference in the Wilde poem.
