Greetings to my friends and acquaintances on this list. I am tuning back
in after a couple months' layoff. Curious to see what current topics
are. Meanwhile this:

Could anyone tell me the exact wording or probable source of the phrase
from William Morris: "the great untouchable machine of mercantile
tyranny"? It occurs in Italian in a piece on EP I am translating. The
author cites an Italian anthology of Morris's work to which I don't have
access.

It might also be helpful for me to find an article on Morris (or
Ruskin&Morris) & EP if there's one buried in Pai. or somewhere. Anyone
know offhand?

Many thanks!
