Hello
Using a hard copy Ovid concordance I found the reference to the 4 lines of Ovid Pound quotes on page 14 of "Spirit of Romance"
It is the first 4 lines of book three of Amores.
Pound had misspelled 2 words (incaedua and loco) in the first two Latin lines which made a computer concordance search impossible.
Curiously; though he quotes 4 lines of Ovid, he only translates the first two of those lines and uses 4 lines to translate those two. The use of 4 lines with the last line of each pair heavily indented creates a caesura which is reminiscent of Golding's fourteeners.
