This virus alert is indeed a hoax, and an old one at that.  See

lists the hoax.
 
IBM does not issue virus warnings; it never has.  AOL has issued no such
alert.  The 'forward this to everybody' at the end of the message is a
classic hoax phrase - it looks like Wallstreet Universe is trying to drum
up some free publicity for itself.
