I expect this will open a whole can of worms, (or freon!), but for what it's
worth:
 
Review of the game tape has shown that the act Ben was guilty of was charging.
While it was not an illegal hit, it was a very physical one.  And the effect
created a very emotional environment.  We are all glad Mr. Mowers was not
seriously injured.  As the mother of a son playing hockey, I take these things
very seriously.
 
Ben is very sorry he hit Mowers so hard, but he is a very physical type of
player.  The team needs a physical presence like his on the ice.
