Bob -- good choice by Friends of Maine Hockey.  The Commonwealth is a great
place.  Dan and I have been frequent visitors to this establishment over
the years.  It actually was the first "brew pub" that they opened in
Boston.  For those of you coming by the "T" (which is highly recommended),
it's only a couple of blocks from North Station stop on either the Orange
or Green Line.
 
Just a note about the beer selection.  It's awesome, but they brew it on
the premises -- just a warning for those of you who are Bud and Bud Light
fans (they don't have it).  The Blonde is pretty light.  For those of you
who appreciate fine beer and/or are up for an adventure, try anything that
they serve cask-conditioned.
 
I also believe that they have a decent wine selection and perhaps some hard
cider (in addition to the coke, ginger ale, etc).  They don't serve any
hard stuff.
 
Looking forward to seeing the Black Bears rule this weekend.
