I'm glad to see the list recognizing the importance of ritual in
Pound. I'm not sure he connected it to all the social and political values
being mentioned in the discussion, but rather to one fundamental,
universal issue: fertility. I offer a general discussion of Pound and
ritual in two chapters of my book, Ritual and Experiment in Modern Poetry.
