Happy New Year to all:

If anyone is looking for a pre-game gathering place in Lowell, come join Dan
and me at the brew pub (the name escapes me).  It is within walking distance
of the Tsongas arena.  The second floor has a pub-like atmosphere and is
family friendly (there are pool tables, video games, etc).  The beer isn't
bad, either.

In the category of "I really watch too much television", I heard Rudy Vallee
sing a few bars of the Maine Stein Song on the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour this
afternoon (on TV land).  Sometimes being a couch potato does have its
benefits.
