I was pleased and informed by the discussion that followed my query, some
weeks ago, about the ant-and-centaur line. Now I have another question
that may be less productive of critical insights.
        The French speech of the poilu in Canto 16 is attributed to
Fernand Leger by both Davenport and Carpenter. (The two are not a custom
furniture firm.) What is the source of this attribution?
