 I was making my own, personal, recommendations based on
years of  (dubious) experience as a Balkan musician and
balkan music-addict. Their have been many collections that
are just some stuff someone recorded on a portable tape
recorder, and others that are weird popular  music--There is
one collection on a bargain label  called Belly Dance Music,
that is actually a really great collection of Serbian dance
music.
 
Beware of  search engines! They are distinctly lacking in
taste.
