Pound, when he learned of the death of Lorca, expressed sorrow in a
letter -- I don't recall which one -- saying something to the effect
that evidently he was a fine poet.  I took this to mean that Pound
hadn't read Lorca but one of his correspondents whose judgment he
trusted had.
 
I don't know about Lorca reading Pound.
