Unless there's been some sudden increase in virus technology, there's no
way you can get a computer virus merely by opening an e-mail message -- it
has to be downloaded to your hard drive first. Bogus virus alerts are
probably more widespread than viruses.
 
Besides, who ever heard of Microsoft actually doing something to *help* PC
users? I almost wish a virus would wipe out my copy of Word.
