Join us for a fun-filled and informative afternoon learning how to transform weeded books and other items into lovely crafts that can earn your library real money at local craft fairs or your book sale.

Kate Cutko, Director of the Bowdoinham Public Library, will share how she started this project at her library with a group of dedicated volunteers. Learn how to transform weeded books into journals, ornaments and anything the imagination can contrive. Just to pique your interest: Bowdoinham Public Library made $1,000 in one day at a local craft fair selling items made from discarded books, maps and sheet music.
