I thought it odd too. Here is Maine the recently crowned Hockey East Champs
AND the defending National Champions and like you say, no on air interview.
Yes, Maine is further away from ESPN's studio in Bristol Conn. but deal with
it! Michigan is a pretty good long distance sled ride and ESPN2 still went
to interview Red.
 
As for the gift bracket, not to dis any team but..... I think BU has to be
smiling. They play St. Cloud then, more than likely, they'll face St.
Lawrence. UNH plays Niagara and should get by them. Then they play North
Dakota, a much more difficult task. The big plus for them is it is on an
Olympic size ice sheet, just like their home rink.

I didn't get a feeling that Maine got any respect during the ESPN2 program.
We got the number one seed so what and lets talk about everybody else.  No
interview with coach ... our second goal last night was tainted so they
pointed out.  More than enough for Shawn to fire up the team.  I think
UNH has the best of the seedings.  Albany here we come.  Go Black Bears.
