   Hello.

 To Proffesor R. I. Caddel :
I wanted to say that poetry of Pound , Bunting , Zukofsky , Olson &
others in " normal conditions " / without wars and cold wars /
would be translated into polish mostly around 1940 - 1960 .
But in the stalinist times between 1949 and 1957 there was no
single article about Pound allowed in the newspapers .
This is the reason why growin interest in poetry of abovementioned
writers we have right now in the 90- tees .
Newspaper No 1. here in Poland is called "Literatura na Swiecie"
-"Literature in the World" - they print Pound from 1972 - a year
they founded the newspapier .
Mr Engelking for sure printed his translations of Bunting here
but I missed it somehow - maybe because I spend a couple of years
abroad .
I will check what was translated and when .
Last year I read in "LnS" "Homage to Sextus Propertius" - done by
Andrzej Sosnowski - a rising star of Poundism in Poland .
They prestented also Zukofsky's Katullus translations in english
language .
                                           Your sincerely
