I just thought that this might be interesting to you people out there.
I was amazed at BC's defense and how well Kelleher/Clemensen played.
It is no wonder why Kelleher is ranked third in the following list of
netminders. I think Maine can win without sufficient defense, but they
must outscore their opponents. I know that is pretty obvious, but it
seams to me like Maine lets up 3-4 goals a game, but as long as their
offense can put 5-6 goals away, they will win. They have not been able
to do that since the first UNH meeting at Alfond this season, I think.
Overall, offense is not lacking. They have the ability. But, they
must concede the fact that Yeats/Morrison are going to give up 3-4
goals a night, so they're going to have to go into games knowing they
must score, and score often. One more thing, who out there think's Ek
is a defensive liability on skates this season? It seams like
everytime Ek is one the ice a defensive lapse leads to a goal? Does
anyone know his +/- rating? Also, how selfish is Niko? That kid seams
to never pass the puck. I used to believe that he was a potent goal
scorer but now-a-days, he is hurting his team more than helping
it.....(p.s. I hope you all can make out the stats, I know they're
skwed a litte. go to www.uscollegehockey.com to see more)
