A while back we had a spirited discussion about Pound's somewhat ambivalent
attitude towards academia.
 
Anyone interested in this topic might do worse than to take a look at Ian
Hamilton's thought-provoking piece in the current London Review of Books,
which considers the tension between the poet and the scholar in John
Berryman.
 
Just thought I'd mention it.
