The reason that Pound's positive accomplishments are not mentioned in
these discussions, as Mr. Lee Lady has correctly observed, as that they
are accepted as givens, especially by those of us who care enough for
Pound to take part in this list, and don't require much comment. The
topics being debated are the ones that remain controversial, and, in fact,
troubling to many of us, and I feel that the various discussants are
seeking some resolution to serious problems. Have no fear, Mr. Lee Lady,
these correspondents are fullly aware of Pound's stature -- there is just
less need to debate matters that require no debating.
