I was quoting from Literary Essays of Ezra Pound (New Directions 1968).
 
And for Ted Boucher: Pound dedicates his translation of Cavalcanti's poem
"To  Thomas Campion his ghost, and to the ghost of Henry Lawes, as prayer
for the revival of music."
