Dear Mr. Borda:
	I can't answer all of your questions,but it is easily possible to
distinguish between amateur and professional psychotherapy. As I'm sure
you know, a psychiatrist, after taking his MD, spends several years
interning and specializing in his specialty before he is licensed to
practice. Of course, there are all sorts of "therapists" with Ph D.
degrees in psychology (or less) who run around the landscape trying to
make people feel better. That, in my view, is "amateur" when it comes to
diagnosing mental conditions, and you can be sure that practicioners of
this kind will bitterly defend their value to society (and their incomes).
