I'm wondering if anyone would like to share thoughts on the Coke Cantos.
I've just recently re-read them, and was suprised to find how much I
disagreed with Donald Davie who writes of the section, in "Poet as
Sculptor," "some of it is wretchedly written." I've always thought of
Davie as one of the fairest critics of Pound, but it seems to me that
his dismissal of The Coke Cantos has contributed unfortunately to their
neglect.
I'm new to this discussion list, so I'm not sure if you'd prefer to
e-mail the whole group, or just me directly. I'd welcome any thoughts or
opiniions whatesoever on The Coke Catos, Cantos 107-9 that is.

                                                Best,
                                                Peter Campion
