Dustin Penner made the Mighty Ducks opening day roster

Jimmy Howard made the Red Wings opening day roster

and Mike Morrison made the Edmonton Oilers opening day roster where he 
is backing up Ty Conklin!

Add to that Garth Snow with the Islanders, Mike Dunham with the 
Thrashers, both in goal

Other forwards include Niko with the Sharks, Paul with Nashville and on 
defense Keith Carney is with the Ducks and Eric Weinrich is in St. 
Louis.

Glad hockey is back!


And Friday night the new season starts.  By the way Inside College 
Hockey has picked our Bears to finish 7th!  I don't see that happening, 
but boy talk about how some people feel the loss of Jimmy will hurt 
Maine.  I had Maine as a preseason favorite if Jimmy returned, and 
still feel strongly we could win the conference!
