Of course, some of the "University" is pushing UMaine ... from where else would it have come? It's part of the "branding" -- the "marketing" -- the "image making" -- the "style over substance"!! One can't move these days without tripping over "UMaine" in print or in any reportage. Gee, for those of us who think MAINE worked just fine from 1865 until the precious people came aboard, how did we keep from confusing the State with the University? Or, vice versa? (Wayne, the rarefied air out at the Landing is beginning to have an effect on you! UMO = UGH! :-)
