Just as long as you admit your bias can't really pick on you can I? :-)

This is where I must disagree. Jon posted the following quote from BU
captain Bill Pierce:

"We learned alot about ourselves when we went up to Maine and lost 3-0
and 7-2. Those Maine guys really wanted those two games and they worked so
hard.

"They beat us with hard work and determination. They outhustled us. I
have all the respect in the world for those guys. The best thing is that
we learned, we reacted in the right way, and we haven't lost since. Maine
was a wakeup call".

Please explain to me where Pierce is being condesending or disrespectful to
Maine here?

Everytime a BU player utters the word "Maine" doesn't mean that he is
automatically putting down the program at Maine. I look at the above
comments by Pierce and say that they are classy comments. Why? Because it
would have been real easy for Pierce to say something to the effect that BU
had a big team meeting and that problems were aired and they turned things
around.

This would have given BU captains and/or players the credit for turning
things around, and wouldn't have given Maine a shred of credit whatsoever.

Instead, Pierce told the truth. Maine spanked them, Maine out worked them,
and Maine just plain beat them down, and that BU didn't expect that. They
did what any good team did and learned from what happened, and it worked.
They lost only one more game, the championship game.

Most, if not all of our players respect BU, and I think that many BU
players also respect Maine's players. The fans between the two schools say
and do lots of things, but BU clearly learned something from the games at
Maine, and Pierce did nothing but tell the truth.
