What, recent arrivals to this list wonder, is this "Buffalo" thing?  Anyone
who's lived in Toronto thinks Buffalo is an assemblage of suburbs with funny
names and a chronically disappointing hockey team.  'Twould be refreshing to
find it a hotbed of Poundiana, even Poundiana upon which members of this
illustrious list wish to urinate.  Is there a mailing list or web site or some
such?  If there is neither then for all practical purposes the assemblage does
not actually exist as an intellectual endeavor.  [I felt obligated to insert
at least one inflammatory comment].  Cheers, Tim
