America East is no powerhouse conference, but if you look at the fact
that the last commissioner went on to become the AD at St. Johns, one
can only figure that in addition to money this is also a stepping stone
to a Division I-A AD job.

With exception of hockey, Maine really is just a place for coaches and
administrators to gain some experience and move on. (See baseball and
women's basketball and now Maine's AD).
