A BU win might bring HE more respect, being ragged on by other conferences
this year, but; it's way too high a price to pay if you're a MAINE fan.
No respect for teams that get swept.
I meant:
A BU win would have been too high a price to pay (if you're a Maine fan) to
gain respect for HE this year. We earned our own respect this season in a
league that didn't support us (He votes out Maine in the Playoffs). And whose
vote lowered the Axe? So,I rooted for ND! OK ,you can't describe me as
equalitarian or unbaised or professional. I'm not, when it comes to hockey
and which team my son plays on! Yeh...... I'm a hockey parent! And I can't
seem to forget it (-:
Maine earned respect this season by their outstanding play in the face of a
heck of a lot of adversity. BU had it all dished out, draft picks galore,
touting rights, victory on a plate! This sticks in my craw! So, maybe they
thought this year would be a breeze? Then, trouble -ridden, defected,
sanctioned, un-scolarshipped, Maine took it to them! And then, BU's
condescending little remarks on how loosing to Maine set them
straight............
