Hi all -- thought I'd post these bits that appeared in last night's game
summary:
>Rookie Steve Kariya extended his career-best points streak to
>four games, with two assists as the Canucks beat the Oilers for
>the first time in eight meetings (1-6-1) dating to April 1, 1998.
and
>"Everyone's just got to step up," said Kariya, tied for second in
>the rookie scoring race with six goals and 16 points. "You're
>never going to replace guys of that caliber, so we just have to
>do whatever we can and work hard."
Jason Krog may have won the Hobey Baker, but he sure doesn't have the
chance of winning Rookie of the Year!!!
Dan and I will be over at Matthews tonight cheering on the Black Bears
against the NU puppies. Look for a report later. We will also let you
know where we will be before tomorrow night's game (unfortunately we won't
be able to report on Saturday's game as we have a conflict with the Bruins)
