UMaine Cooperative Extension and Maine Robotics team up to offer LEGO(r) Robotics Train-the-Trainer

$10.00

Robotics Training for Educators

This workshop is designed to teach adults how to build and program with Lego(r) EV3 Mindstorms robot kits. We focus on using the skills learned from these workshops to teach robotics at schools and robot teams. It is also great for anyone interested in learning something about robots, programming, or computers! We will be using the LEGO EV3 robot controller, but the latest version of LEGO MindStorms Home edition, which is a SCRATCH-based programming language and the only one currently supported by LEGO.

Note, if you currently have SPIKE robot kits, you are welcome to bring your own to use.

When: Saturday, January 14, 2023 (snow date January 15)
Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Location: USM, Gorham Campus

Presenter: Tom Bickford, Director of STEM Outreach (Maine Robotics) at the University of Southern Maine. Tom has been teaching LEGO Robotics for 22 years.

Light snacks will be provided. Bring your own lunch.
Registration is required. This workshop will fill up.
