Miss Calamia's logic is twisted, at the very least.
If I were a student of AIDS, it would not be out of
veneration of the disease, but rather, apart from
the purely intellectual desire to understand it,
out of the hope of containing its spread.  As all
of you can now see, there are those on this list
who identify with Pound's antisemitism.  As an
erstwhile student of this disease in Pound, I have
done my homework trying to understand it (cf. my
"Ezra Pound: America's Wandering Jew").

Remember, Listees, passivity toward the evil in
your community--yes, even your electronic community--
is the same in outcome as promoting it.  My immediate
object is not to eliminate Moyers and his supporters
from this list, but to let them know, by our communal
response, that the civilized world finds them
repugnant.
