Omar Pound has forwarded to me a copy of the letter sent to him by
Daniel Hoffman, the Poet in Residence of the Cathedral Church of St.
John the Divine at Amsterdam Avenue and 111th Street in New York.
 
The Electors have chosed Pound for inclusion in The Poets' Corner.
His induction will take place during a Vespers service at the
Cathedral at 7pm on Sunday, October 24.
 
The Electors are:  Rita Dove, Dana Gioia, Rachel Hadas, Donald Hall,
Michael S. Harper, Daniel Hoffman, Richard Howard, Carolyn Kizer,
Maxime Kumin, Robert Pinsky, Grace Schulman, William Jay Smith, and
John Updike, with Daniel Aaron and R.W.B. Lewis ex officio electors,
and Mrs. Edward T. Chase Honorary Chairman.  A very distinguished
group!
