Even though I am a (until now) passive observer of the Pound list (my daughter
subscribed and I found it interesting enough as an old English major gone bad
(sold out to television, which pays much, much better) to keep reading, I felt
the need to add something to the discourse.
I think ol' Ezra would have found mysticism of any kind of great interest...
far more so than dry, dispassionate discourse over the possibility that there
isn't anything new to be said so why bother trying to understand, analyze,
discuss or critique the escoteric ramblings of a long-dead, great but clearly
disjointed mind.
I'd recommend a reading of "The Ballad of the Goodly Frere" to pump a little
vitality back into the discussions... Or perhaps a visit to the Jewish
mysticism site.
