So much to say, I'll just put it in bullet form.
1. My wife and I have followed Maine hockey since our first game in the
early eighties... (a victory over #1 North Dakota).
2. Being a native Downeaster I can't begin to describe the feeling of pride
I have in the program. Maine being nationally recognized in something other
than lobsters, taxes and black flies is wonderful.
3. Our first true vacation after 13 years of marriage was to Wisconsin to
watch the bears win the title in '93.
4. When we attend games we feel the need to participate, ie, scream, cheer,
bang on the glass etc. Whatever it takes to help the cause. It is with
utter disbelief (and disgust, I might add) we find ourselves alone,
standing (yelling), an island in a sea of seated people, at a HOME game.
5. Simply put, if you've lost your desire to support the team, stop going.
Let someone else buy your season tickets. Yes I realize it's your money,
your seat, your whatever....
6. Perhaps Jack's boys did us a favor last night as they did in '93. A
little wake-up call before the New Hampshire series.
7. We really enjoy the discussion list. It's nice to hear from so many
"kindred spirits".
8. LET'S GO MAINE!! LET'S GO MAINE!! LET'S GO.....
