Jake, I think you are wrong about this...we have seats in JJ and are
surrounded by students. They were the first to leave with a huge number
departing at around the five minute mark. Also they were about as loud as
many of the "old gray hairs" sitting in that area. To be fair, I think you
have two groups of students the wild, loud fans up stairs and the casual, I
want the guys or gals to see me students, who know little about the game and
are not really into it. The same holds true for the non students.
The pep band and the Maine-iacs up stairs are great. I love their wildness
and support of the team. On Friday night one had to laugh when they started
the "FRESH MEAT" chant.
I do agree that fans should stay and back the team until the end especially
on nights like last night when they were out of sync and they need fan support.
