Hello Maine Librarians,

As we ring in the New Year, I've been thinking a lot about "librarian
resolutions". One of mine is to listen to my patrons and provide them with
the best service possible. To get some pointers on how to deal with after
school groups at the library, I spoke with Jessica Rollerson, Children's
Librarian and Behavior Management Specialist. She graciously took the time
to listen to me and give advice (including the perfect book recommendation).

I am featuring an interview with Jessica this week on my blog, The Lupine
Librarian. The first part can be found here:
1/ and parts two and three will be posted this evening and tomorrow evening.
I forgot to mention in the blog post that Jessica is available for
consultations about behavioral issues in the library and maker-spaces. I
have met many Maine librarians at conferences, Reading Roundup, and online
and they have all been very helpful and willing to share ideas and
information. Jessica is no exception, and I'm very happy to add her my list
of contacts!

If you would like to ask Jessica for advice, or get more information about
her consultation services, her email address is: [log in to unmask]

Thank you for reading and have a very happy new year,
