There is some implied prejudice I would like to address here:
 
The loudest, most fervent fans I know are all over 50 - Heck they may be over
60!  One is Jane "Blue Lady" Carroll and her husband Durward, also Madeline
Bacon and her friends, all sweet "little old ladies".  There are many others
who are the older set and all loud!  Age has nothing to do with noise level
or cheering.
