Is that really a relevant point!? Does that mean because we didn't force them
that we aren't in any way responsible to insure that the rules and the
conditions in which they play under are in fact SAFE. Let's not forget this
isn't greyhound racing or chicken fighting to the death. WE are talking about
ALL OUR sons here. That means they are OUR future. Even for those who don't
have children, they will carry on for all of us. How will we insure each one
of them that we cared enough to fight the fight.......... protecting their
rights. Because we adults are in that driver's seat now! Or, are we just
intent on them providing amusement at any cost!?

>the dollar is what allows these kids to go to school free.
That dollar only stretches so far. How many on each team are not
scholarshipped!?!? TOO MANY! I'd bet the FAT CATS IN KANSAS (or wherever there
new multi-million dollar digs are now) get more of that ALMIGHTY DOLLAR than
our kids do!

>But you need to weigh the risks of playing against the rewards.

What are the rewards for most!?!?

A letter jacket.
A team Picture.
An opportunity to play with great players.
The chance to excel and grow as a player.
The comaraderie and life lessons.

None of these equate with what happened to guys who have lost the ability to
walk or run and have to re-learn how to talk and eat, the basic necessities of
life.

IF MAKING A FEW RULES CAN TAKE THAT PAIN
AWAY.............................................................

THEN I SAY DO IT! (-:
