So far as I know the out-takes were preserved, and they were indeed in
Lawrence Pitkethly's hands. However, when I wrote to him some years back --
where? PBS??? I forget, and no longer have access to my notes -- my query
was forwarded (no doubt because I'm in Canada) to a Toronto office and then
promptly and perpetually ignored if not lost. It was Jay Laughlin  who put
me on to all this when he was up here a dozen or so year ago,  but now alas
he's dead and I know not who would know. Perhaps Hugh Kenner?
